The Conclusion of the Conference of the Tribes of Libya May, 6, 2011

First: on the national level:

1. Libya is an independent country. Non Libyans have no legitimate right to intervene in the affairs of Libya. It' is only Libyans who should have the freedom and the right to choose their own political, economic and social system.

2. The unity and independence of Libya are above every other consideration and are not a subject for debate or negotiation.

3. Mouammar Al-gaddafi is a historical...

The Possible Strategic Step of Russia in Influencing the Situation in Libya after G8-meeting

Posted by Waterput on Friday, May 27, 2011, In : Libya

It was quite a surprise to hear Russia's apparent change in policy regarding Libya after the meeting of the G8-countries in France on May 27, 2011. But, does it really make sense after the increasingly critical words by Russia towards the abuse of Resolution 1973 by the NATO-countries? What about the position they held with the other BRICS-countries? Somehow it seems very unlikely that Russia would now wholeheartilly support the increased helicopter backed aggression aimed at supporting the N...

David Winnick, British MP, not supporting Forced Regime Change in Libya

Posted by Waterput on Thursday, May 26, 2011, In : Libya
Despite the reports of British Apache helicopters that were to be introduced to heat up the conflict in Libya, various British MP's seem to protest against such an escalation. Here's a quote from the Guardian, May 24, 2011:

Others MPs said the Nato mission was now designed to overthrow Gaddafi.

David Winnick (see image), Labour MP for Walsall North, said: "Despite denials, UN security council resolution 1973 is in fact being used for regime change. Regime change is totally outside int...

More Intense Coup-support Aggression from NATO in Libya through the Use of Apache, Gazelle and Tiger Helicopters

Posted by Waterput on Monday, May 23, 2011, In : Libya
The NATO-countries are doing their utmost to help their Libyan rebels to power. They (the European parts) have recently opened an office to aid their friends in Benghazi (EU to open Office in Benghazi) and the next step is to deploy helicopters. The United Kingdom against Gaddafi has said that it is going to send Apache helicopters (image) and the French are going to use their Gazelle and Tiger Helicopter to speed up the victory of their East Libyan allies.

It is getting harder and harder to g...

Youtube Libya War Censorship - What happened to Youtube Channel Pipard?

Posted by Waterput on Sunday, May 22, 2011, In : Libya
I have often talked about the lies and war propaganda being used by the western media and the NATO in order to topple the regime of Moammar Gaddafi. Today (May 22, 2011) I noticed another worrisome development in this fight against information that is not western based.

In Warlords of NATO decide: Bomb the Libyan State TV I already mentioned this war on information from the non-NATO perspective. The Arab League also banned the Libyan State TV from their satellites ArabSat and PanSat (source)...

Interesting Links on Libya and Western Propaganda Machine

- (June 9, 2011) NATO's Terror Bombings on Libya (Uruknet by Bill van Auken)
What has Libya done to the countries—including Denmark, Norway and Sweden—that are now raining bombs down upon its cities and population? The answer is nothing. They are joining in the imperialist onslaught as the price of admission to the "post-Gaddafi" carve-up of the country’s assets, both its oil reserves and the tens of billions of dollars that have been "frozen" in Western banks.

Warlords of NATO decide: Bomb the Libyan State Television

Posted by Waterput on Friday, May 6, 2011, In : Libya
On May 5, 2011, the Contact Group against Gaddafi, which consisted of 22 countries, mainly members of the NARPO (=North Atlantic Rebel Protection Organisation) and a few anti-Gaddafi Gulf states convened in Rome to discuss their strategy to topple the Libyan leader.

One of the strategies that was formulated was

"Politically, this will include action against illicit arms, mercenaries and Libyan satellite TV." (UK-Site)

The Dutch Foreign Minister Rosenthal formulated it a bit more pronounced: "T...
